School.

September 3, 2008

Yeah, I go to school. But my school is different from yours. How? Well, to put it bluntly, its full of men. Men who hug each other, yell things one would NEVER hear anywhere outside of San Francisco, men who know what three stomps in the bathroom stall means and can’t stop laughing when they hear it. At first glance, it seems like a horrible place, and thats right it is. Then why don’t I leave? Because its a strange place. It’s different, keeps things interesting.

But it’s also kind of scary, our tendencies don’t even phase me anymore. As the year goes on I won’t even notice them. Is it all in good fun? Or is it because it’s easier to live up to the stereotypes placed on us than to function like a normal school? But what does it mean to be normal? Maybe we are subconsciously crossing the line of normality? Social revolutionaries of sorts.
